THE ‘LIVE LOVE IN’
IS AN INTERNET BASED GLOBAL PIECE OF PERFORMANCE ART
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO SPEND THE DAY IN BED
AND JOIN US ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA
On the 25th of June 1967, the world saw the first live international satellite television production, ‘One World’, conceived by the BBC.
Famously the Beatles performed ‘All you Need is Love’ live from Abbey Road to millions of television sets around the globe.
That summer was the summer of love and it’s time we had another one!
Here we are exactly 49 years later & almost all of us have the ability to broadcast live into any home with our cell phones!
Whilst we may be better connected than ever, the world is not a more loving place, in fact I feel like we’ve gone backwards.
The peace and love project that my parents generation started, at is core, was a beautiful and simple idea that I think we need to pick back up.
WE NEVER REALLY GAVE PEACE A CHANCE.
So, on the ‘One World’ anniversary (Saturday 25th of June) I’d like to invite you to show your commitment to LOVE in the face of hatred and seperation by using the social media tools you have to document a day of love and peace and potentially SPEND THE DAY IN BED!
Take an active stance by not participating in a hate filled world for a day by staying in bed as an act of non-violent resistance.
Please stream your day live on Meerkat or Periscope or Facebook Live using the hashtags: #GiveLoveAchance and #LiveLoveIn
Or share a selfie of you in bed on Instagram or Twitter.
From your bed… sing, read poetry, paint, talk. whatever your thing is… share it, join us in what I hope will be a beautiful collaborative performance art project.
If we could try our best to keep the love flowing all day hopefully we will achieve a powerful and meaningful connection.
IF YOU CAN’T SPEND THE DAY IN BED….
because you have to work or you have other reasons please post some kind of sign of solidarity online.
Let’s give love a chance this Saturday.
If you feel to, please share this with as many as you can and invite anyone like-minded to join us.
Thank you.
Stuart xx
